On Wednesday March 1st, 24 Veteran Club members met for happy hour Meet & Greet at the Views
On Tuesday March 7th, 9 Veteran Club members helped install 55 "Legacy Walkway" bricks on the cart path near the Pickleball courts.
On Tuesday, March 14th, a dozen club members volunteered to help with the 2023 Veteran Stand Down in Tucson sponsored by Tucson Veterans Serving Veterans. We set up a large meeting room with over 50 tables and chairs and then help separate and sort men's and women's clothing. We followed up with lunch and great conversation at the Angry Crab.

On Saturday Apr 22nd, 17 Veteran Club members honored the internment of 19 unclaimed Veterans at the Marana Veterans Cemetery. A group of us went to the Feedlot Cafe for lunch afterwards.
On Wednesday May 3rd, 20 Veteran Club members met for happy hour Meet & Greet at the Views
On Friday May 26th, Veteran Club members helped put US Flags on the grave sites of Veterans at the Marana Veteran Cemetery.
Lesley Monroe went down to the VA Hospital the last week in May with her husband Mike and donated the quilts I had made for them for the chemo patients. Lesley used the $222 the Veteran Club donated to her to buy patriotic material for the quilts. She only got one picture as they were pretty busy working and gave one to the nurses. We appreciate her efforts to support our Veterans.
On Wednesday June 6th, over 20 Veteran Club members met for happy hour Meet & Greet at the Views.
On Thursday June 8th, Veteran Club members delivered food items from SCOV and donating $250 to the VA Patriots Pantry at the VA Hospital in Tucson.
- On September 5th, Dick Harper and Mike LaBarbera take down US flags after the Labor Day weekend.
On September 19th, Mike LaBarbera and Larry Webster deliver 35 Hawiian shirts to Barb Brownly from the "Hawiian Shirts for Deployed Soldiers" organization and donated $100 from the Veterans Club to cover some of the shipping costs.

On Thursday, Nov 9th, John Smith and his wife Peggy went to the Marana Veterans Cemetary to help put US Flags on the gravesites.
Veterans Day Ceremony on Nov 10th with three WWII Veterans, Walter Ram, Brewster Evans and Harvey Harn. Walter and Harvey will be 100 years old in 1 month. They discussed their time before, during and after they joined the military with some serious stories and some lighthearted humor. Leslie Monroe presented the Veterans with quilts made by the Casas Amigas sewing club in SCOV.
