Hi all 1-16
January 4, 2021 Veteran Club minutes
Ten wreaths for "Wreaths Across America" for the Veterans Cemetery in Marana were purchased in the Veterans Club SCOV name for $150 on Jan 6th, per the decision and vote at the January meeting.
Larry Webster was voted in as the new Treasurer of our club and a depositor at Pima Federal Credit Union. $5 Annual dues may be paid to any club officer or mailed to Larry at 14185 N Fawnbrooke Dr.
At our last meeting there was a discussion about SCOV policy when the US Flag was/wasn't flown at buildings. I spoke with the administration and the flag will be displayed every day the buildings are open, stormy, windy or not.
I have 1 shirt to get embroidered. The embroiderer will wait until we have a couple more shirts before she will do the job. Setup takes almost 30 minutes and she will not do 1 or 2 shirts. Bring me a branch related colored shirt to get embroidered with our club name and your first name for FREE. Either at our club meeting or bring to 2145 E Bighorn Mountain Dr. We currently have 38 members with embroidered shirts to wear proudly letting others know what branch of service they served.
Guest speaker for Feb 1 meeting is Guy Peabody. He is with the Scottish American Military Society. Check out his clubs website.
