Hi all 11-22
2nd annual Veterans Club SCOV donation for "Wreaths Across America". Make a donation for $15 per wreath to the Veterans Cemetery in Marana. Fill out the form to buy wreaths (red "Sponsor a wreath" button) directly for the Marana Cemetery. Volunteer to lay wreaths at the cemetery on December 19th.
Share the camaraderie and rivalry at the Army/Navy Football Game in the SCOV Auditorium Dec 12 @ 1PM. Bring your spouse or SCOV friends. Let me know how many will attend by Thanksgiving as I will open seating to SCOV residents. I've got about a dozen reservations so far. Free BBQ pork and potato salad for Veteran Club members for pick up before the game at 12:30 with your own buns, silverware and Tupperware, location TBD. We can't serve shareable food in SCOV buildings.
On Nov 11th, Veterans Day, Jim Steinmetz, Jeannette Moore, Ed Caine, Ian Friedlander, Bill Livingston and myself delivered and served lunch to homeless Veterans in Tucson. They enjoyed pulled pork, Roosevelt baked beans, potato salad and cake. Thanks to Ed Caine for cooking the pork. Photos at the bottom of the page
On Nov 21th, Ian Friedlander, Bill Livingston, Russ Story, Larry Webster, Bob Davis, David Kettleson, John Farmer and myself delivered 4 pickup trucks and an SUV full of 35 computers, furniture, clothing and personal hygiene product to the temporary homeless unit in Tucson.
