Next meeting is Monday, April 3rd at 1PM, Catalina Vista, with guest speaker Gary Smith and Jeri Harwood from the Oro Valley American Legion. Jeri is a Veteran Service Officer (VSO) and will review your VA eligibly and help file a VA claim in your behalf. All VSOs are your advocate to get your claims approved by the VA. Call Jeri at 208-351-9945 to set up an appointment. Larry Webster will be collecting 2023 $5 dues at the door to the right as you enter the room. 50/50 raffle tickets will be sold at the table to the left as you enter the room. $1 each or 6 for $5. Please wear your club shirt to the meeting.

The El Presidio Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) is looking for Vietnam Veterans that would be willing to sit down for an interview about their life experiences before, during and after the Vietnam War. My interview is next week.
*The interviews will be conducted with the outmost discretion at a location of your choice.
*Once the interviews are compiled, they will be bound in a booklet for each of the participating veterans.

If you are interested in buying a "Legacy Walkway" brick, "Phase 3", fill out this order form and bring it to the Welcome Center for processing. Fill in Veteran Club as the sponsor and we receive $30 from you order. View the recently installed bricks on the cart part near the Pickleball courts and View Restaurant.
In 2022 the VFW helped Veterans recover over $11.2 Billion in VA disability. (This figure does not include money recovered by other agencies like American Legion or DAV). Call Veteran Service Officer Jeri Harwood at 208-351-9945 to schedule an appointment and file a claim. You do not need to be a member of these organizations to file a claim.
VA screens 1M Veterans for toxic exposure since November. Could you be one. Call the Tucson VA at 520-792-1450 ext. 16173. All Veterans are encouraged to participate.

Start bringing non-perishable food items to Monday's meeting or my house, 2145 E Bighorn Mountain Dr., for the VA pantry. (Spam, protein bars, peanut butter, cereal, canned vegetables, etc. No family size Costco or Sam's packages) We will be making a delivery to the pantry on the VA campus in June.
Send me a photo of yourself while you were in the service to add to the other 88 members on our website.
If you are interested in getting a shirt embroidered, by branch color, for the Veteran Club, bring your shirt to a club meeting or my house, 2145 E Bighorn Mountain Dr., with your first and last name stapled to the collar. You could find a shirt at Wal-Mart, Ross Stores, Kohl's or Amazon. Look on the sale rack for discounts.
