Hi all
Next "Meet & Greet" happy hour is on Wednesday, July 5th, 3:30 at the Views.
I need 4 volunteers to put up US Flags for July 4th around SCOV on Monday, July 3rd at 7am and 3 volunteers needed to take the US Flags down on Wednesday, July 5th at 5pm. Let me know if you want to help.
Photos from the "Meet & Greet" where over 20 members met at the Views on June 7th & club members delivering items to the Patriots Pantry at the VA Hospital in Tucson on June 8th. Check bottom of the page.
Remember our fallen member Jerry Stiles and prayers for his wife Anne.
I have put items in the Veteran Club display case at the Welcome Center across from the Genealogy studio. If you want to display one of your medals (full medal, not the ribbon you wear on your uniform) please put your medal in an envelope with your name, the name of the medal, and branch of service and bring it to my house. The members name will be displayed with the medal. There is room for about 20 medals. There is also limited room for other items to be put in the display case. Let me know.
Join the other 93 photos of members on our website. Email me a photo of yourself when you were in the service with location and year the photo was taken.
If you would like to get a shirt embroidered, by branch color, for the Veteran Club, bring your shirt my house, 2145 E Bighorn Mountain Dr., with your first and last name stapled to the collar. You could find a shirt at Wal-Mart, Ross Stores or Kohl's. Look on the sale rack for discounts. I have 2 shirts now and I will be collecting them during the summer and have ready for our first meeting in October.
If you would like to buy a "Legacy Walkway" brick, fill out this order form and bring it to the Welcome Center for processing. Fill in Veteran Club in the Club Sponsor box and the Veterans Club receives $30 from your order. View the recently installed bricks on the cart path near the Pickleball courts and View Restaurant.
