Next membership meeting is next Monday, Nov 2 at 1PM in the Activities Center Auditorium. Guest Speaker - Robert “Buzz” Hickox, Peer Support, Suicide Prevention, Southern AZ VA. He will discuss how to recognize symptoms of suicide. This is the meeting NOT to miss. Masks will be required in the Auditorium.
The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline emergency phone number is 988. The FCC approved the 3-digit number July 16, 2020
Collection of items has begun of personal hygiene products & clothing, gloves, hats, belts. Start taking those gently used men's & women's clothes off the shelves and out of the closet and bag them now to deliver to my house 2145 E Bighorn Dr until Nov 11. I've already received a large number of items already.
**HELP....LOOKING for someone who has the capability to view CBS LIVE SPORTS TV from their computer through CBS All-Access or other media outlet? Please contact me. We will connect your computer to the SCOV audio/visuals at the Activity Center. Instead of our usual membership meeting on Monday, December 7, we will meet for the annual Army/Navy football game on Saturday, December 12 at 1PM. Masks will be required in SCOV buildings. More than 50 people are allowed with social distancing with changes to the SCOV policy. Food and drinks can be brought to the event for personal consumption. Veteran Club members, spouses and friends have priority until Nov 28th, then I will open the event to SCOV residents. Please forward me your name and the number of guests to me ASAP.
