Good morning, Thank you for allowing Ms. Gutowski to speak at the Sun City Veteran Club Meeting on March 6th and thank you all for supporting our Veterans of southern Arizona! Here are some brief answers the questions asked during the last meeting for your minutes. I have also included some attachments to expand on some of the subjects below. Please feel to reach out anytime if you have any further questions. 1. How does traveling Vet coordination program work? What is contact info? Here in Tucson, you can contact the TVC department via email [email protected] The Traveling Veteran program is used for routine care while a veteran is outside their catchment area. All orders are sent from the veteran’s PACT or other Provider from their Home-VA (H-VA) to the Alternate-VA (A-VA) for care, in the form of a Traveling Veteran Consult (TVC). Once a TV consult is received by the A-VA, it’s up to them to place the requested consult (i.e. x-ray, labs, Specialty consult, etc.).
2. Are we providing “classes” for PTSD such as anger management etc.? Yes
3. Summary on our Women Veteran Services: See attachments regarding the bullets below Regarding Women Veteran Services, we have various brochures with information about Women’s Health.
5. Can non-Veterans enroll in the MVP: They do not need to be enrolled in the VA; just need to be a Veteran. The national number 1-866-441-6075; if they come to the SAVACHS, go to Bldg. 80, Outpatient lab and let the front desk know they want to enroll in the program. The Veteran will be led to the back on the outpatient lab area and meet with our staff to get enrolled.
