Minutes of Meeting, October 4, 2021
Meeting started at 1:00 P.M. Oct 4, 2021 with 30 members in attendance. Three new members were recognized for first time attendance. Joe Martin, Larry Budden and Dave Matthews
The Aug 2nd minutes were approved as stated.
Finance Report – Larry Webster
Bank balance $1347.78
Report approve Larry Clark, 2nd Bill Livingston
Current club membership is 238.
President Mike LaBarbera reminded the attendees to bring a shirt for embroidery showing your branch of service if not already done so. Also a picture of yourself in military uniform would be a welcome addition to our club gallery posting on our website.

We currently have pictures of 57 members.
New Business
Meet and Greet, Friday, Oct 8 at 3:30 at the Views
Our club will be featured on the cover of the Tipster in Nov 2022 for raising money for Veteran organizations through the Legacy Walkway. It will be a photo opportunity of Veterans Club members standing on the Legacy Walkway. Photo date TBD sometime in Jan/Feb. I would like to have 100+ members in the photo.
Looking for volunteers on the Veteran Club board. Looking for positions of President, VP, Secretary & Treasurer. Leadership elections held in Dec/Jan.
Unfinished Business
Legacy walkway update. I have 174 orders. Contractor will install pavers in December
Over $21k in sales, 41 club sponsorship's sharing over $5.2K.
Deadline for brick orders Nov 15th.
Walkway will be paved beginning Dec 13th.
3 club members will review and recommend local Veterans organizations to receive over $6700 so far from the Veterans Club with money received from the Legacy walkway. If you have a suggestion for a from the sale of bricks, please let me know.
If you have an idea for a guest speaker at future meetings, please let me know.
Guest speaker - Cat Ripley, District 1 representative Pima Community College, one of the first women accepted into the Naval Academy. Hector Acosta (Head Vets Ctr), Rafael Rohas, Rolando Palomo
