Veterans Club SCOV
Minutes of Meeting, Dec 6, 2021
Meeting started at 12:00 P.M. Dec 6, 2021, with 33 members in attendance. Four new members were recognized for first time attendance. Glen Kunde, Rich Stagg, Tom Blanchard, and Harry Niece.
The November 1st minutes were motioned by Ian Friedlander, 2nd by John Farmer and unanimously approved
Finance Report – Larry Webster
Bank balance $1701.37
Current club membership is 256, up from 244 last month.
President Mike LaBarbera reminded the attendees to consider applying for disability if they haven’t already, and to bring a shirt for embroidery showing your branch of service if they have not already done so.
Old Business
We currently have pictures of 65 members.
Unfinished Business
Legacy walkway update. Contractor will install pavers next week.
Over $29k in sales, 43 club sponsorship's sharing over $18k. Admin receiving over $6k, Veterans Club receiving over $9k.
3 club members will review and recommend local Veterans organizations to receive money from the Legacy walkway.
Our club will be featured on the cover of the Tipster in Nov 2022 for raising money for Veteran organizations through the Legacy Walkway. It will be a photo opportunity of Veterans Club members standing on the Legacy Walkway. Photo date TBD sometime in Jan/Feb. Would like to have as many members as possible in the photo.

Meet and Greet, Friday, Dec. 10th at 3:30 at the Views.
Speakers
An open mic sharing of stories from service days by the following club members:
Fred Giammona, Dave Matthews, Kate Cusumano, Mike LaBarbara, Eric Meyners, Gary Meneley, Alan Gauld, Roger Benusatti and Ed Caine.
Those in attendance agreed that they appreciated hearing the stories and that it would be good to repeat, possibly yearly. A suggestion was made to schedule it for next December along with a potluck for our Christmas meeting.
The 50-50 drawing was held.
